Twin Bunk Compartments
Twin bunk beds in compartments sleep two guests, or solo travellers can reserve one all to themselves
Friends travelling together can reserve one or more of our 3 Twin Bunk Compartments. They are named after Stations on the West Highland Line - Corrour, Rannoch and Morar. A Twin Bunk Compartment is £50 per night.
But if you are travelling solo, you can reserve a whole Twin Bunk Compartment for yourself for just £35 per night.
We do one-night stays, but there are 'slow travel' discounts for 4 or more nights, to reward guests who spend a little more time exploring Glenfinnan and the local area.
Glenfinnan is a great base for hiking, guided trips on the loch, kayaking, SUPing, canoeing, wild swimming and, of course, visiting the local attractions here.
Please note: the bottom bunks are slightly narrower than the top ones, as they are the original, standard railway size with Sleeper train-size mattresses on them.
Family Room
Our Family Room sleeps 4 guests in one double bed and twin single bunks, great for family or friends travelling together
Our Family Room compartment is also named after a Station on the West Highland Line - Lochailort.
It has one Double Bed (sleeps 2 together) and one Twin Bunk (sleeps 2 separately), so it can sleep 4 in total, great for families or friends.
The Lochailort Family Room is £65 per night.
NB: There is a 2-night minimum stay in this room.

'Whole Carriage' option
Need more space? Or just want to have the whole Sleeping Car to yourself? Why not go for the 'Whole Carriage' option and booking the coach for exclusive use?
When you book the 'Whole Carriage' option, you not only get exclusive use of the entire carriage, but if you have 1 or 2 well-behaved dogs you can bring them with you for a flat fee of £8 to cover extra cleaning.
The Whole Carriage option is the only one which allows us to accept dogs (see our Prices/Booking page).
Sleeping up to 10 people, the Whole Carriage is a great option for large families and groups (eg. hillwalking clubs).
NB: There is a 2-night minimum stay when booking the Whole Carriage. Longer stays of 4 nights or more get a 'Slow Travel' discount of 10% (applied automatically when booking).
Please email us to book the Whole Carriage (exclusive use) as this cannot be done online
Hire bedding and towels, or bring your own...
You are welcome to bring your own bedding and towels but we do have a hire service and will place them ready in your room/s for you - for a one-off fee
We provide a bottom sheet on the bed, and one pillow/pillowcase, so that you can bring your own bedding or use your sleeping bag if you're walking or hiking.
For £8 per person, we can provide you with a bath towel, duvet/duvet cover, and extra pillow/pillowcase, to save you having to bring your own bedding with you - especially if you are travelling by train or bus, or walking or cycling to us.
Just select the 'Bedding & Towels' option on booking.
